Sun-Tzu

Sun-Tzu (~400 BC)
Chinese general & military strategist
Master of the Art of War ( Sun Tzu or (Wu), the calligraphy of wu, means war or martial). Thus,
Martial Arts means the art of war, whether empty hand or with weapons. one on one, or army on army. These brilliant rules are proven, and stood the test of time and recognized by most all military strategist and martial art masters. We respect, believe and have incorporated these rules into our philosophy at C.A.I. as well.

All warfare is based on deception. There is no place where espionage is not used. Offer the enemy bait to lure him.

Appraise war in terms of the fundamental factors. The first of these factors is moral influence.

Nothing is more difficult than the art of maneuvering for advantageous positions.

Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate.

The best victory is when the opponent surrenders of its own accord before there are any actual hostilities...It is best to win without fighting.

A military operation involves deception. Even though you are competent, appear to be incompetent. Though effective, appear to be ineffective.

Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.
